The Devereux Alps is the rarest gem of incredible beauty  in the chain of Alpine mountains and valleys. Squeezed  between the peaks of the Lepontian Alps, the mountain range and the Devereux Valley are located at an altitude of 1650 m above sea level  in the province_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3d5 on the regional natural territory of Verbania park Veglia-Devero, which guarantees their state protection and pristine beauty. It is forbidden to travel by car and no new buildings are being built.

 

Crystal clear air, breathtaking panoramas,  mountain flora and fauna, characteristic villages and endless opportunities for direct contact with beautiful nature.  Devereau offers sightseeing options all year round  and active sports. In winter - snowshoeing, ice climbing, ski mountaineering,  ski slopes; in summer - hiking, rock climbing, climbing routes, mountain biking. And for lovers of nature photography, this place can rightfully be called a real photogenic  paradise.

We will walk from the village of Deveraux through the town of Crampiolo to the magical tiny Lake of the Witches (Lago delle Streghe), walk along the stream through the most beautiful highland valley.  We will have a picnic with a local specialty - Bettelmatt mountain cheese. This cheese is produced exclusively in summer in some high Alpine pastures. It concentrates all the aroma of clean mountain air, local  herbs, the energy of the sun and the earth.
