Golden Triangle of Lake Como

Golden Triangle of Lake Como.
Lecco, Bellagio, Como (Lombardia)

Lake Como has not left anyone indifferent since the time of Pliny and Virgil. Fragrant vegetation, turquoise water, openwork coastline, favorable climate, year-round availability of beauty, rich history, a huge number of attractions attract here every year more than a million tourists from all over the world.

On our day trip, you will see three of the most important tourist destinations on the lake at once: the cities of Lecco, Bellagio and Como. They make up this famous peninsula called the Larian Triangle. I will tell you why Lake Como is actually such a popular holiday destination, what is Lario, who lived here and what they did thousands of years ago and now.

In Lecco, you will see the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, one of the tallest bell towers in Italy, an ancient square and a bridge with 11 arches, built in the 14th century by a famous family from Milan, which is still trafficked. Walk along the famous and very romantic promenade and see the places described in the novel by the famous Italian writer Alessandro Manzoni "Betrothed". Rising on the funicular above the city, you will find yourself in front of a stunning panorama of the whole of Lecco and nearby towns, spectacular mountain peaks and, of course, Lake Como, which narrows here and turns into the Adda River.

Walking down the stairs-streets with local colorful shops and restaurants, lunch overlooking the lake, silk shopping - we will definitely do all this in the world-famous Bellagio. I will show you the place where the three branches of the lake join, we will see the ancient church of Bellagio with original interior decoration, I will tell you who the famous maestri comacini are and why they are important for the whole region. I will talk about the surrounding villas with chic parks and gardens, about romantic love stories on the shores of a romantic lake.

The city of Como will amaze you with a harmonious mixture of eras and styles. You will see the stunning beauty of the Duomo Cathedral, learn the secret of the main altar and entrance portals of the cathedral. Walk along the colorful medieval streets, hear stories about the famous natives of the city - Alessandro Volta, Paolo Giovio, Pliny older and younger. Here you can often get to the holidays and festivals, rooted in the events of different historical periods. In an instant you will be transported to a classic medieval European city with a characteristic atmosphere, architecture, music, cuisine, characters and even animals in costumes.
